I’m not usually one to jump on the bandwagon with popular bronzers as I usually find that I’m one in a minority that they don’t suit. I’m so so pale that barely any bronzers work for me and I have to apply them very sparingly. But when Bourjois brought out the Bronzing Primer I was super excited; knowing that Chanel own Bourjois, this product was likely to be similar to the Chanel Tan de Soleil bronzer that’s also raved about, and I’ve always wanted to try out as mousse bronzers are much easier to apply on pale skin. So the Bourjois £10.99 option was much more appealing than Chanel’s bronzer which is usually around the £30 mark.
Bourjois Bronzing Primer Review
I cannot fault this product so far. It has the classic Bourjois bronzer smell of very sweet chocolate which on it’s own is a good enough reason to buy it! It also has a lovely smooth mousse texture which makes it super easy to apply and blend and also build it up, although you probably won’t need to unless you’ve a darker complexion or are on holiday etc. I’ve been wearing this with Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and they work really well, blending nicely together to give a glowing finish. The bronzer is really nice and subtle too if you take the time to blend it properly, so for me it’s a winter must-have when I’m looking a bit washed out.
In terms of price, like I said before I’m much happier with paying a third of the price of Chanel’s Tan de Soleil, especially with the knowledge that Chanel own Bourjois anyway. Generally, if you’re looking for quality you won’t get much cheaper than around £10, so this is definitely a good purchase in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I have heard that after a while, it does start to go a little patchy on the skin. I haven’t found this as I’ve only worn it for several hours at a time before I remove my make-up, but I suppose if you tend to build it up and wear quite a lot it’ll be more likely to go patchy. I intend to do a youtube video soon focusing on this product, particularly the longevity of it so do keep an eye out for that! Sorry for posting so little on here, it’s more of a little sideline blog to my youtube for me to give longer reviews for specific products and I spent more time on my youtube. But if there are any products that I mention on youtube or even my Instagram (lavenderpastels), be sure to let me know if you want me to review them on here too.
Thanks for reading!
